Post number 2

I cant seem to shake of the scene where the sniper kills the man , for me that moment was so tragic because it meant absolutely nothing to the person who killed him. Meanwhile that person probably had a whole life , family and history behind him. I feel like this applies to so much, we are all somewhat alone in this world because in a sense nobody really understands our feeling or feels our pains or joys in the same way we do. I find that so tragic, the fact that to this person the man wasn't a person  but rather a target in a game.

  1. It is a powerful scene. The sniper, of course, is the one shooting, not the one being shot. So, you've articulated it awkardly, but I gather your meaning, and agree. The sudden ness of death on the battlefield, especially in WW1 evokes a terrible feeling of powerlessness in the soldiers that all sorts of anxiety and ritualistic, superstitious behavior results. I try to resist my natural inclinations for sarcasm, but your creativity with regard to the titles of your posts is almost too hard much to ignore. But, I shall.
